A brief history of XP Power.
XP Power was founded in the UK in 1988. At that time XP was a distributor of switch mode DC power products, moving on to market a range of own branded products 10 years later.
A series of acquisitions in North America led to XP Power designing and manufacturing its own power supplies and establishing manufacturing bases in China and Vietnam.
Recent years have seen further product ranges added to the XP Power catalogue with the acquisition of EMCO High Voltage, Comdel and Glassman High Voltage.
XP now offer AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, high voltage AC-DC power supplies, high voltage DC-DC converters, RF power systems, 3 phase power supplies, custom power solutions & EMI filters
Repair and refurbishment of old or obsolete XP power supplies
Our advice would be that many mass-market power supplies that are not obsolete and still available to buy may not be commercially viable to repair. However, consider that even if sometimes more expensive, repair and refurbishment is always the more sustainable solution.
