A brief history of Delta Electronics / Eltek Power.
The multinational power giant Delta was founded in the Taipei in Taiwan in 1971 as an electronic component manufacturer. They began mass production of DC PSUs in 1983. Delta is now the world’s largest provider of switching power supplies (SMPS) and brushless fans.
Launched by Delta in 2008, Innergie, is a leading provider of consumer power products and mobile power solutions.
In 2017, Delta acquired the audio visual display and presentation company Vivitek to add to its portfolio.
2015 saw the acquisition of Eltek, the long established Norwegian DC power and UPS specialists. Their markets include: Telecom, Power Utilities, Data Centres, Railway & Metro, Marine & Offshore and Rural Electrification. Eltek continues as a separate brand under Delta’s ownership.
