Overview
The original Powermag P1000 series were manufactured by Advance Power at their Bishop’s Stortford site for a number of years until the end of production in the early nineties. They were widely acclaimed for their inherent reliability and flexibility and were sold in relatively high quantities both in the UK and internationally.
The P1000 design utilised a free running inverter with a 5V,150A main output and four plug-in modules based on mag-amp technology that could be configured when ordering. Required cooling air was provided by an internally mounted DC fan.
